Small Island Test

AKA "Moment Monument." A failed game jam project... experiment thing.

The whole thing was named too soon... when I started building this thing during MFGJ (Summer 17,) I wanted to make a 3D point-n-click kinda adventure game centered around little 'monuments' that represented something ... which, in hindsight, might've been a bit more like a walking-sim than I was expecting - even if you weren't gonna do any walking. >.>;;

During those two weeks of building, I learned how to make an inventory, usable items, a wee bit about AI, and some UI basics. Not too much of that is present in this 'demo,' since it had to be scrapped days before the deadline... none of it was working entirely as intended lol.... or at all, in some cases. (The game wouldn't even cook in it's previous state.) I could spend this Jam bringing it closer to the original idea, but I'd rather move on. There's a list of other small projects calling my name from WIP Hell...

What do you do in this game?

• Click around on the little pink and white pillars to move to another point of view... only one or two of which look interesting. The rest are just kind of there for coverage?? lol.
• You can click the little "Toko" friend a whole two times for dialogue bits. d(=u= )
• Debate whether the sky should've stayed blue or nah

Other than that, this is an extremely short 'experience.' I wouldn't stream it or stick it in everyone's faces since there's not much. I would, however, share some of the project files lol. Below is mostly the game models, which you have freedom to do whatever you want with (except resell it as is. I coulda done that, but it'd be beside my intent.) I'd love to see what these things become, lol... I'm most certainly not gonna use em, so if you find a good purpose for these little guys, let me know!
